Using p element there is no problem with rendering,
but if you move mouse over, you should see bg image multiple times.


Using div tag, normal status look how should,
but just try to move over element.

In non-hover mode is background set to no-repeat value, but in :hover mode is set to repeat mode, but without effect. THIS BUG WAS NOT IN OPERA 7.11 !!!
